Freelance commitments and a bug going around threw me off my game lately, so expect a new update this Friday, not tomorrow. Sorry.
Heads up: Next week will be another pinup, but after that comes a new story. However, it will be a short one, about ten or so pages.
And then that’s it! I have been wondering how to announce it, but the end of Wanderlost as an ongoing webcomic is nigh. I plan on a comprehensive collection of all the stories and assorted content, so naturally a Kickstarter will be coming soon, inevitably.
I have other projects in mind: a graphic novel, an SF serial, and a possible new webcomic. Also collaborations with other cartoonists. Ending Wanderlost has been a hard decision, but I need the time to do new things.
So one more story before we turn out the lights begins in two weeks. Stay tuned.
Heads up: The new page for February 8, 2012 is being unexpectedly delayed until Friday, due to a sudden commission by a client for a quick turn-around project. As Frito said in Idiocracy, “I like money.”

Tomorrow’s Wanderlost update for 11/2/2011 will be late. Combo of Halloween festivities (I got kids, man) and my unpredictable health issues have slowed things down. Fear not, the page is inked. It just needs color and words the animals speak to make the pictures make sense. Sorry for the delay.

Hi, all. Just dropping a note to let you know of my progress, health-wise. I wouldn’t be offended if you totally ignored this post.
So I saw an allergist this week. He took a culture from my nose and recommended a CT scan of my sinuses. The theory is that I have maxillary sinusitis, so he drew up a regimen of anti-biotics, nasal steroids and maximum strength allergy medication. All of which sounds fine, but I have to have the CT scan first before I can start the regimen. Meanwhile, I can’t take anything. This means that at night I can’t breathe through my nostrils, affecting my sleep, and making me exhausted during the day. On top of that, some creepy virus is going around my house. I was in bed most of yesterday. My son is under a pile of blankets right now, also sick as a dog. My daughter is coughing. My wife is over-taxed.
Whine, whine, whine…. What annoys me the most is how much this disrupts my cartooning. I am bored out of my mind. And a little frustrated.
Hope you all are in good spirits and health. Enjoy the start of a new summer. Get that fresh air, go for a hike, dive into your local watering hole, laze on the beach, get an ice cream cone — whatever it takes to live life in the outdoors.

To any of my readers that remain: I am sorry for the lack of updates lately. A series of colds, allergies and sinus infections that have made even normal activity difficult, let alone comics creating. I appreciate your patience. I can’t give you a time when the next update will occur. I want to overcome these sinus problems before I do anything else. I will keep y’all posted on the progress. Thanks!
